How this calculation works
Monthly revenue goal ÷ fee per client, rounded up, gives the clients needed. Available monthly billable hours ÷ hours per client, rounded down, gives capacity. Capacity × client fee gives the revenue at that capacity. This is revenue before expenses and personal tax, not take-home income.

How the calculation works
Monthly revenue goal ÷ fee per client, rounded up, gives the clients needed. Available monthly billable hours ÷ hours per client, rounded down, gives capacity. Capacity × client fee gives the revenue at that capacity. This is revenue before expenses and personal tax, not take-home income.

Make the estimate fit your business work
The most useful estimate is one you can explain. Check these details against the actual job or business arrangement before you rely on the result.
- Include account-specific admin in the hours needed for each client.
- Keep available hours to the time you can realistically devote to these retainers after other work.
- The model assumes equal packages with no overlap or efficiency savings. Compare mixed packages separately.
